Student Design Project Expo

This non-competitive event is an opportunity for AES student members to receive feedback and advice on design projects, and possibly prepare for entry to the Saul Walker Student Design Competition, or Matlab Hackathon.

 

This will be a tabletop/poster session format. Student designers and programmers will show and demo their audio design projects for industry designers and convention attendees. Student registration is required.

Event Information

 

The expo will be a 60 to 90 minute event.

Tables and standard poster boards will be supplied.

An electrical power outlet will be available.

Materials should be quick to set up, ready to showcase your work to convention attendees and audio design professionals.

Participation can be a precursor and preparation for entering the AES Saul Walker Student Design Competition, or MATLAB Hackathon – but competition entry is not required.

You can bring hardware projects for people to look at, and if it’s easy to be able to hear them, for people to hear (on headphones).

Loudspeaker playback for loudspeaker design projects only, and playback levels will be minimized and occasional.

You can bring a laptop running software. Please provide headphones for people to listen with.

You can bring poster displays for people to look at.

Please bring all necessary equipment. A power outlet can be provided – bring a power strip if necessary.
